Hi all
This is a tough question not seen anything on the internet about it!
How can you edit the notepad registry to adjust the tab length?
At present I find it tabs too far and want to make it half the length!
How can this be done? Many thanks in advance! :)

Notepad is probably the only editor incapable of changing the display with of "\t". Fortunately, there are much other editors more advanced than Notepad which are able to set tab size to whatever value is needed.
Try <a target="_blank" href=http://www.pspad.com/>the universal PSPad freeware editor</a>.

Right, Notepad is only a Text Editor, doesn't have or need many of the formatting tools of a word processor such as Wordpad, Word, WordPerfect, WordPro, Star Office or OpenOffice Write.
Notepad is most useful for batch files, basic HTML/Web pages and writing programs.
I haven't used it in a couple of years but might give EditPad a try, either the free or the Pro version.

Have seen good things said about Notepad+.

I use <a target="_blank" href=http://liquidninja.com/metapad/>Metapad</a>.
Last night, I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know.
