Can't lower security level of IE !! (WXP-Pro)

Hi,

I just can't lower security level of IE under Medium. I get this Error message :

"The recommended security level for this zone is "Medium".

The level that you have choosen is lower than this. Please choose a security level of "Medium" or higer."

What can I do ? I need to lower this security level to make some tests.

It sounds like you have a third party security application running such as Norton Internet Security.

Which ever program it is then you will need to adjust that control from within that application.

You may discover which it is by looking in IE's View, Toolbars menu.

Hi,

I do have ZoneAlarm, but the phenomenon is the same even when closed or fully lowered.

I found that it is due to SP2 in fact, but you can lower the security level by going to the detail window and selecting a Reset to Low. It appears as Custom in the main internet options window, but it is Low.

My apologies...I thought that you had stated that you could not set it to lower than Medium.
