Hello, well you all seem like very tech and Pc savy folk. You see I was having trouble with a portable app and accessing the "Applications Data" Folder in my computer, (I'm obviously not as tech savy, who knew all i needed to do was click "Show hidden folders"

Anyway, what happend was that I was trying to get the folder to show up so on

C: Docs and settings/~

The ~ symbol being my account name, i right click and fiddled with read only, hidden etc, AND then i "accidently" click on the sharing tab and then on "Make this folder private" so this box comes up saying its doing something to permissions and I accidently clicked cancelled, so I checked and unchecked it, trying to get it back to normal.

I then open my fire fox and I get a bunch of messages saying that a file can't load because I need to check my permissions, and that i need to set my permissions because of a problem with a security cache?

If anybody can help, pleasse let me know, becuase I can't reformat, my life is on my pc, I do digital recording on it, anyone though?

Not only that but now my windows media player is acting funny and won't access streaming media because it says "The file me be on another cumpter, configure your network, or something"

HELP!!

Okay, but just so you'll know most forums frown on double-posting the same question.

Some folks read only those posts directly related to a subject, may never see this one.
