Have two computers running on Windows 2000 connected through a router. I cannot get either computer to share folders or files with each other. Each computer recognize the Printers and Scheduled Tasks on the other computer but that is all. Followed instructions going to My Computer, clicking on each drive I want to share, right clicking on the drive and choose sharing, creating a share folder. Clicking on the permissions button brings up a message stating "This has been shared for administrative purposes. Permissions cannot be set". Spent time on line with Zone Labs and checked the firewall setting. They suggested shutting down Zone Labs firewall (which I did) and still cannot connect. Can someone lend a hand...would be greatly appreciated.

At wits end. Tried everything...removing Lan network and reinstalling with the wizard. Removed itc protocols and reinstalled all. Redid share routine for all drives that were to be accessed. Both computers can see and access the Printers and Scheduled Tasks but will not recognize anything else. Read Petri but did not find anything pertaining to my problem on Windows 2000. The same thing happens wether I have my anti virus and Zone Labs turned on or off. Any other suggestions?

You should follow monkey_1's advice: Test sharing just one folder of any drive... Do not attempt to share the whole disk.
However, if you want to do so (or need to or even have to do so), you can share a folder (or disk) multiple times anyway. Click the New Share button to share a folder (or disk) with an additional shared folder name. You will be able to modify permissions of this new share.
