problems logging to win 2000 (W2K)

I am having problems logging onto my windows 2000 computer as administrator. I have successfully log on as a guest but when I try to log on as admistrator the computer says it is loading personal settings but then never logs in.
I am at the point of re-installing the operating system but I can't access the installation cd when logged in as a guest. Is there any way to by-pass the win 2000 security features or another way to re-install win 2000.

The Win2000 CD is bootable. Check your BIOS settings that the CD is listed as the first boot device.
