I have a printer (Kyocera FS-1920) that is advertised as a network printer. It has no network card. It does have a USB port, a parallel port and a multi-pin connector labelled OPT.
Can I just connect it as-is to the server of a network via one of these ports and have the possibility of sending print jobs from any of the networked computers?

#1. An on-board network card goes with FS-1920N, FS-1920TN, FS-1920DN, FS-1920DTN models only; does not with FS-1920, FS-1920T, FS-1920D models. Cf <a target="_blank" href=http://www.rm.com/HE/Products/Product.asp?cref=PD218558> Kyocera FS-1920 overview</a> (Java scripting desired to view rm.com site correctly).
#2. I think so. I do not know your server OS, so cf <a target="_blank" href=http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/wgprint.html> Network Printing</a> sample for Windows.
