I have a major issue with trying to use the latest release IE7 on my PC. I have recently downloaded and used the program on a couple of friends laptops and it worked fine, alot better than IE6.

However, i have today installed it on my home PC and upon reboot after installation Windows Explorer fails to load. All i get is wallpaper and no desktop with a message saying "windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I am able to get into task manager, from which i was able to open a web page file which loaded in IE7, which works fine. But when i try to run any programs from task manager it says i don't have appropriate permission. Any help on a way i can install IE7 without the hassles?

A link to a considerable troubleshooting source: <a target="_blank" href=http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/ee_advanced.aspx> Events and Errors Message Center</a>.

You will need some informations capturable from the Application or System Error Log with <a target="_blank" href=http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289508> Event Viewer</a> tool.

Event ID will be necessary, Event Source will be important and File name will be auxiliary one.
