Hello, this is my first post on here and I did a search before posting this question but sadly, was unable to find anything.
I've just recently formatted my computer and installed Windows XP Professional, and for some reason my browser cache fills up extremely quickly. I have tried setting my browser cache size up higher (30gb at one time) but it still doesn't stop it from happening. I was wondering if this is a problem with XP Professional itself because I never had this issue with XP Home, and if so, is there a specific update I can download to fix this issue?
My system setup is XP Professional SP2, I am running IE 6.0.29 and hard-drive space really isn't a problem (I have nearly 2tB of total space). Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

1. Read "<a target="_blank" href=http://www.petri.co.il/customize_a_new_xp_installation.htm> How can I customize a new Windows XP installation?</a>" cool article (and make the temporary storage space smaller).
2. Keep your Windows purified from viruses, spyware and all other malware.
3. Download and install <a target="_blank" href=http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5cbd4659-3b28-4801-8729-05335902ce79&displaylang=en> Clear Cache Feature for Internet Explorer</a>. The program must be run each time the user wishes to automatically delete all temporary Internet files, cookies, and history files.

Thank you very much for your prompt response to my post. I followed the steps that were pertinent to me (and my system is always clean of ad/mal/spyware) but its still happening. I never had to use a program to clear my cache before, hell, I only ever cleared my cache once or twice on my old system and I formatted once a year. I just don't understand why I'm having this problem at all. I have anywhere between 1-30gb of space allocated to Temp. Internet Files yet it still keeps coming up as "browser cache is full, HAHA! GOT YOU!" Though I am very grateful for the post you made, it doesn't fix my problem.

I guess there must be a culprit fullfilling your browser cache. Let try to find it.
1. Try another Web browser. I keep using <a target="_blank" href=http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/> Mozilla Firefox</a>. Very, very well-contented with it.
Firefox uses another caching scheme, so you can set extremely small size limit to Temporary Internet Files folder.
2. What about the e-mail client? I have changed my Outlook Expres to <a target="_blank" href=http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/> Mozilla Thunderbird</a>.
3. Another circumstance can be something like BitTorrent.
4. Check your system with (<a target="_blank" href=http://download.hijackthis.eu/hijackthis_199.zip>Click here to download HijackThis directly (http://www.hijackthis.de/>)).

Another thought thread: "Ever wondered why your hard disk is full? Or what directory is taking up most of the space? When using conventional disk browsing tools, such as Windows Explorer, these questions may be hard to answer. With <a target="_blank" href=http://www.win.tue.nl/sequoiaview/> SequoiaView</a> however, they can be answered almost immediately."
HTH.
