IE opens in Firefox (WXP-Home)

I regularly use Firefox as my internet browser, but I have 1 page I need to access which apparantly only works correctly in IE. However, whenever I try to open the page in the IE browser, it redirects to Firefox and opens the page there, no matter whether I have Firefox running at the moment or not. Obviously, this doesn't help since I need the page running in IE.

This issue only comes up on my desktop. However, I have both Firefox and IE on my laptop, and IE opens pages perfectly fine on that. They both have WXP Home Edition, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Get "IE Tab" extension to your Firefox!

It allows Firefox to run embedded IE within Firefox main window. You can customize which URLs you want to be rendered using IE. You can also switch between IE and Firefox rendering by single click, so it's very easy test how a web page looks like with different browsers.
