I've been running Win2kPro as an Administrator for two years and finally decided to live life less dangerously. So I set up two users accounts, for my wife and me, but they don't show up anywhere.
I'm using the MS "W2KPro Resource Kit" and Que's "Using MS W2KPro" for guidance but they're confusing more than helping me. Can anyone give me some real help?

Start user manager (start-> run lusrmgr.msc). Are those new user accounts visible under users list? New accounts are not visible like they are on Windows XP's login screen. When you don't have automatic login enabled, you get that login screen where you can type one of those new user names with proper password (if you set password for them).

Thank you for your response.
Yes, all user accounts are visible under Local Users and Groups. To the best of my knowledge I do not have automatic login enabled; how do I check for that? And the only login screen that I get is during boot. I get the one that has Administrator in the Name box, and a blank Password box in which I enter my administrator's password. It just occurred to me, should I enter a user's name in place of Administrator, then the user's password?
Well, as soon as I click this away I'm going to try that.

And sure enough, it worked. There is no "Welcome to Windows" in my boot procedure, so I just did as I said at the login screen and got to my account, and then to my wife's, and all is cool now.
I then plowed through both of those books that I mentioned in my first post, looking for something, anything, that would give me the information that you provided, but no joy. If anyone can find it in either book I would really appreciate it if you could give me a page number, so I can improve my searching skills. This is not the first time I've had to drop the book(s) and ask for help.
Thank you very much for your help.
