I am having problems with music files stored on the netgear sc101 droping out when I access the web. The sc101 makes connected hdd's appear as local drives in my computer, and therefore mediaplayer, itunes, real all treat the file as such playing it piece by piece, until a large webpage is loaded or file download started, at which point the song will pause until there is enough bandwidth availible to play, very annoying. If anyone knows of a program, reghack, or script that would copy the song into a local cache for playback, and maybe cache the last x amount of songs or clear an entry after x amount of time, I would be most greatful. I have about 50 gb of music all 320kbps Mp3. It is on the sc101 so that the whole family can access the music collection from one source. Performance is great on the lan side with no problems with 4 users connected to sc101 at the same time. However it seems that my linksys befsr81 will crush any lan traffic in favor the wan side.
