Hi,

I am using HP Pavilion a320n Desktop with me. I installed Windows 2003 onto it. Everything was fine..

Problem is i am unable to connect to internet, where as other system at my place are good. and my PC also, before i when was using Windows 2000 Advanced Server and XP Home, Internet was good.

So, i tried to check Drivers, in Device Manager it showing 1394 Net Adapter under Network Adapters. Actually the PC Specifications for HP Pavilion a320n is Realtek 8201BL.

What might be the problem? How to connect to Internet?

Under Network Connections it showing 1394 Connection as connected and 400mbps speed..!!!

please suggest me.

Thanks
Jen

1394 Net Adapter is your Firewire connection. It is reported as net adapter because it has network capabilities and protocols - although they are limted.

You need to get the NIC installed. Has the system got the NIC listed as an unrecognised device? Does it phyically exist in the computer? If so, can you communicate on the LAN?

yah. i have NIC Card, i am able to view that in network adapters list before when i was using XP or 2000. and there are some unknown devices, i think i should try them.

and where can i get the drivers for Realtek 8201BL Drivers for 2003 Server, i tried google its very hard to find.

thanks

Hi

<a target="_blank" href=http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&cc=uk&lang=en&dlc=en&product=364171&sw_lang=118>Click Here</a>

Above link will take you to the HP driver download site for your computer. You should select your language and then all the drivers will be displayed.

OS is Windows XP but you should be ok.

Have your tried installing the generic network card drivers? Perhaps one of then will work well enough for you to get on the Internet and search for a driver though Windows Update.
