I am having some issues. When my company switched over from Novell to Windows, the LAN groups were never revalidated by those who did the switch. As time has gone on, more groups have been added through Active Directory with no policies in place to ensure that accesses were included as notes for these new groups. Now I have over 300 groups to revalidate and half the owners need to know what the accesses/locations are for each group. Other than just searching through the security properties for every item on the servers, does anyone know of any tools or programs which will map all this information for me? Preferably in a way that won't crash the servers....

You would have to look at the security properties of every single file and folder on your server, since that is where the group permissions info is stored.

So there is no way to map the contents of each folder/item other than manually? What I would really like would be an output that lists each item and the groups and specific users that have access to that item. But it's seemingly appearing to be impossible other than just going in and doing it all by hand.
