i get the error "The procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll" when i try to do just about anything. that error has kept me from installing new software, using my computer the way i'd like, etc. its very frustrating. everytime i get a msg on aim it pops up! its LAME! i've tried to replace the dll, didn't work. i've tried a couple other fixes, nothing worked. i don't want to format and reinstall because my win2k cd is messed up and i have to restart the install like 10 times. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I am thinking shlwapi is installed with IExplore, you could try reinstalling or repairing that.

Seems that SHLWAPI.dll file is quite involved with Win2000 [and WinXP].

<a)

There should be 2 copies, one in C:\WINNT\System32 and the other in C:\WINNT\System32\DLLCache folders. There may be a couple other files from updates or Service Pack installations.

The file name in the Subject: line appears to be misspelled.
