I am trying to install ZoneAlarm Pro in a system running a NAT. Zone Labs says ZAP must be loaded before the NAT in the boot sequence and that this is a registry edit.

The registry has two keys that seem to be pertinent:

Hkey_local_machine>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Curr ent version>Run

and

Hkey_local_machine>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Curr ent version>RunServices

Components of ZAP show up in RunServices key and the NAT shows up in the Run key. I have no clue how to finesse these so I get the right load sequence. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Hi - J just researched another problem and came accross following Microsoft Knowledge Base article and remembered your question:

Thanks Richard.

I tried the startup manager and it does indeed control which utility loads first. Unfortunately, that still didn't make ZoneAlarm Pro do what it claims it can do (monitor the input/output of clients on an ICS-like network). I'm even using Sygate Home Network, which ZoneAlarm Pro supposedly supports.

So I've gone back to Zone Labs support for more suggestions.
