LPT 1 (activate) (W2K)

Hello, I seem to think that I deleted an important file that activates (turns on) LPT 1. When I check my printer it says "oneway commuication" and my printer just sits there and blinks. Any thought? Thanks in advance

The communication direction is determined by your bios.

When you bootup your computer, press F2 or whatever key gets you into setup. Set your parallel port to ECP or EPP.

Thanks it worked. I ended up selecting "EPP"

Glad to help. That port setting is one of the few that can still screw you up with today's operating systems.
