Redirecting W98 to new folder

I have a large-ish collection of screensavers, so to keep the Windows directory from being too cluttered, the screensavers have their own folder. They can be installed from that location, but W98 forgets where they are as soon as I select a screensaver that is stored in the Win directory. Is it possible to have Windows permanently recognize a new location for screensavers?

have you tried to put your new directory into the environment PATH variable (in AUTOEXEC.BAT) and reboot?

Hi, Richard, I did as you suggested, but Windows ignored that completely. I also tried putting shortcuts to the screensavers in the Windows folder, in hopes that W98 would take a hint, but that didn't work either.
