Hi,
how can I create a shortcut to sleep (or powersafe or suspend or whatever it is in English) mode? I know how to restart the PC, Windows, how to log out but I don§t know this.
Thanks

may be this will help you with out fixing any registry entries:
go Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel and pick the Power applet.
Select the settings that apply to your hardware.
First check on th ePower tab that feature is not Off. then choose settings from Suspend/Resume tab. Depending on your hardware there may also be a Hibernation tab to set up.
Depending on hardware you may have to specially prepare your system with a vendor tool before beeing able to use all Power features.
When Power is configured in an acceptable way for Windows, the Suspend item will show up in the Start Menu.

Thanks, Richard but that's not it.
I used to have the Sleep... command on my PC under Windows 95. Then I upgraded to W98 and it's not there any more.
Basically, I'm lazy, so what I'd like to have is a hot key to the sleep (powersafe or hibernate or whatever it's called) mode.
When you choose Start --> Switch off a menu pops up with the 4 options (restart, restart in MS - DOS, switch off and the fourth one, Switch to the power saving mode (again, I don't have an English version of W98 so I'm translating)). I know how to create a shortcut (hotkey) to three of them (you run the rundll.exe) and I thought that the same trick may apply to the last one.
Thanks anyway,
Michael
