View Full Version : Attention Required! But I've run a Scan?

Hi
Installed this fine program and run several scan, custon, full and quick. Deleted all spyware found but the program does not recognise that I have run a scan and is informing me that Attention is Required because I have not run a scan. Unistalled and re-installed (once in Safe Mode) several times - same issue. Anyone know how to get around this?

Hi Dave,
Regarding 'No scan run' information shown on Spyware Doctor Status screen.
I believe that no matter how many times you have ran the scans, it still shows 'No scan run' in the Status information, this can be caused when your user profile is unable to save the session information each time Spyware Doctor performs scans.
Please be aware this is clearly not caused by Spyware Doctor bug or Malware activities.
Please ignore the 'No scan run' if you have completed scan & fix with Spyware Doctor. A fix for this issue will be available shortly.

AChen - Many thanks for the prompt reply. Yes you are correct, no matter how many scans I run I still get the same error message. I will now ignore the reminder and await a forthcoming fix.

Hi Dave,
I am Hercules. I downloaded sd4 on 24/2/07. I have the same problem as you. It means that support has done nothing since 20/11/06. I have also created a thread as you can see and the same guy Achen replied to me 3+ months after with the same message !!! ( A fix will be available shortly, i.e. 4 maybe 6 or even 12 months and who knows !!!). I feel ... :mad: :( :confused:
What else can I say ?

I read the other thread and it states that, this issue will be resolved in Spyware Doctor version 5. I understand that it might be annoying to see the 'attention required', however, as long as the scans are working fine, I guess thats what really matters.
In my opinion, I don't see a point in resolving an issue on a product (sdv4) if a new version will replace it. As long as its fixed in the next version thats the main concern. Unless it was a major issue where sd4 doesnt function, then I can understand.
Try the beta version. Check to see if this has been resolved.
