Automated Backup script

I need to be able to run automated unattended backups of some files/directories and system state on a windows 2000 and 2003 server.

I have done this in the past using a scheduled task that ran a script. My script was old and clunky.

Does anyone do this, or have examples of some scripts to automatically back up some files/directories and the system state.

Typically your backup software will allow you to schedule backups.
