how i can hide this task (in the picture) by registry?
and how i can restrict users from change it?

Open Folder Options (in Control Panel) > General tab > Tasks > check "Use Windows classic folders" > Apply.

Note: If you are looking for the precise registry key where this change is made, I don't know where it's located.

The item is "My Computer" if I am seeing it correctly.

Are you trying to restrict access to My Computer or just from displaying the specified item on that view?

He has a red boarder around the blue background and the red arrow and the word This in red. My take was that he wants to change to classic view by directly changing a registry key rather than pushing a GUI button. Could be a homework assignment. /images/forums/icons/smile.gif
