Downloading

It used to be so that when I clicked an mp3 link in Internet Explorer, it brought up a dialog box asking me if I'd like to open the file or if i'd want to save it to a certain location on my hard drive.

Now however the mp3 opens in the same window using a browser plugin.

How can I configure IE so that it will bring up the dialog box every time I click an mp3 link?

For WinXP (similarly with Win98) go into Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File Types, Select MP3, click on Advanced and for the Action "Open" add a tick next to "Confirm open after download".

Otherwise you may need to remove the plugin via IE, Tools, Manage Add-Ons.
