I wonder if anyone can help with this puzzling problem. I have recently set up a wireless network at home which is working fine for a laptop but only partially working for the desktop machine. The curious thing is that when I connect to the internet with the desktop machine IE will not connect. HOWEVER (!), when I access the internet by typing in a url into, say, a Control Panel or Windows Explorer address bar I can access the internet. I cannot see anything on IE settings that could be affecting this yet I have isolated the problem to IE.
Does anyone have any ideas - all help greatly appreciated.
