Hello, I just found your site while searching for help about XP registry.

I've got quite a large number of entries that end with .1. Somehow I have the feeling that my system has been compromised. Am I correct?

And I keep getting random webpage popups starting with something about windows antivirus 2006; this I know is what started the problem. All the tools I'm using can't find and delete this; it hidden or masked very well.

What can I do to fix this?

Is that the one that popups in your system notification area.... and if you click that it installs a bunch of fake spyware removal programs and downloaders?

If so, I was able to remove most of that from a friend's computer with Adaware. Download from lavasoft.de
