New window closes previous instance (WXP-Home)

Hi. I have read several posts of this problem but I couldn't find the solution.
Everytime I open a new IE window, this one closes the previous one allowing just one instance.
I dissabled the REUSE WINDOW FOR LAUNCHING SHORTCUTS in the options, but nothing happened.
I have scanned the pc with several antivirus, etc and cleaned the registry.

Ohh it's ok. The problem was and unsuccessful installation of yahoo msgr. Maybe somebody could have the same problem.

I figured it out....

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then Internet Options, then Advanced, then under Browsing, uncheck the box for Enable third-party browser extensions. This should take care of it.
