Internet Explorer appears to disconnect from the dialup connection. When I go to certain links the browser seems to be connecting. Modem activity light cycle and after a few seconds (sometimes minutes) the activity stops and the window remains blank.
At first, I thought that is had dropped the line, so I redial and make a new connection. Then no matter where I try to go the browser does not even seem to look for a connect. I can run my FTP client and it still connects to the sites fine. I can run Netscape and it works just fine.
If I close all Internet Explorer windows and restart the program it will work and continue to work for a while.
It I don't close all browser windows, Internet Explore doesn't even look to see if there is a connection available. This only happens with Internet Explorer.
