I removed IE 6 about 3 months ago except now I would like it back but IE will no longer load.
This message is all I get;
"EXPLORE.EXE file appears to be corrupt. Reinstall the file and then try again."

After endless attempts to reinstall I cannot get Internet Explorer 6, (file version 6.00.2800.1106) to function beyond that message.
I have Windows 98 Second Edition.
Can anyone help me solve this issue?

Can you copy another explorer.exe from another win98??
If so, that may fix the problem.

Thanks but I do not have access to another computer if that is what you mean. I do have a Win98SE CD but do not know how do extract or locate this (explore.exe) file, if it is even there. I was hoping someone could send me this file as an attachment in email or direct me where to locate same.
Thanks again,

No Problem! Click start, run. type sfc & enter.
Extract a file, type file name, select where your install programs are (CD ROM or C:\windows\options\cabs. Let it do its thing...
