Hi.

I have recently re-installed my win xp but seem to be having a few issues with certain things. I have installed the drivers for (my mouse Labtec, my soundcard - soundblaster, my graphics card, and my wireless reciever. Now these are the only drivers I have added.

Now my computer seems to be having a difficulty detecting microphone (a logitech one) - Now this should be just plug in, and it detects it. I know how to test this etc, and it doesn't work. I know it works fine though as it works on my laptop when plugged in (no drivers available to download etc)

So I wondered if I am missing any drivers? or anything else? Perhaps there is a list of drivers that are useful to download when a re-install is done which would be really useful.

Thanks

Andrew

Such a list of drivers should be available for download through the manufacturer of your pc. Say your pc is an HP Pavilion, you go to HP support, choose Pavillion and stock up on the driver downloads. Sometimes windows does a louzy job with sound drivers, and you do need to install the original drivers...

Your microphone should not need a driver, I would suggest looking at the settings on your soundcard and making sure your microphone input is not muted.
If it is not, I would suggest uninstalling your soundcard, and going to the soundcard manufacturers website to download the latest driver for it.
