Ok...I just reformatted with winxp pro. I got onto a game called counter strike condition zero, and I lagged like a monkey's uncle! I have all fine hardware in my pc and It has never been a problem. My processor is 1.6 Ghz, which isnt that great, but I need to know how to overclock my processor...If that's what I need to do to make my pc work.

You need to find the specs of your motherboard and try jumper settings to overclock your motherboard , giving it a faster pace. Keep in mind overclocking is like running your car engine 80 miles an hour in park, so you will shorten the lifespan of your board, try upgrading your memory either to ddr2 if you have ddr banks.
