Browser issue (W98)

I had an internet filter application from Comcast called Security Manager on my pc. My son deleted (and emptied trash) the program without doing the uninstall. Now I cannot get to the internet with any browser (IE and Firefox), but I can ping to the internet. Also, I cannot open Internet Options in IE to see what the setting are. I tried using a utility Comcast suggested to uninstall the app but no luck. Any suggestions? I am assuming there are some registry settings I can change to make this work.

Are you able to see control panel at all?

Internet options should be under control panel unless the program modified the registry and grayed it out.

The second thing you may want to try is to create another user and log in differently for your win98 and see if you can see internet option from anywhere
