Well, here I am again, and with sad news: the gremlin is here again, illegal operation.

I will try to send an email of the illegal operation notice, with the printscreen-pasted notice in two copies, one for top of details and a second one for bottom of details, to anyone here specially the Windows technicians, just give me your email addresses, maybe anyone among you might find from the details how to prevent illegal operations supposedly triggered by an application like my browser, GreenBrowser from Morequick.

I am using Windows 98se and IE6.

Funny, why can't wise people like those guys in Windows or MS put an instruction in their software OS. so that it can monitor anything untoward and stop it from causing any havoc, then issue a warning for user to back off the action whatever not allowed or illegal; then user will know what not to do or what to avoid -- instead of notifying that an illegal operation has been committed by what or whom, God knows.

If you have an email address and would like to examine the details of the illegal operation notice visiting me now often, tell me and I will send you in attached file the clipboard-pasted two copies of the notice.

Instead of illegal operation notice and message, why not be more wisdom-oriented, like issue this warning and direction:

Disaster looming, back up, save all works, and close program then reinstall or reboot.

As it is, when the notice or error message suddenly appears, all one's work is frozen useless and wasted.

Perhaps I should have several good but surplus small hdds of three gigs or less, so that when one is de-commissioned owing to some appearing error messages, then I will just remove it and place a still what, extra virgin (recycled of course) hd and continue with my work, then reformat the previous one, etc., reinstalling everything like the OS and application softwares.

What do you say?

It's just Windows 98. The more programs that come out the more problems it will have. Usually you can't fix "illegal operations".
