how to prevent explorer from opening my documents

when i start explorer, it always opens the directory my documents which is rather annoying because then i have to close this first.
how can i stop this? i am using windows 2000

Try this:
Open the properties for your Explorer shortcut.
Add an /e switch to the end.
The target should look like:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e
