User profile corruption

I have a client who has 2 user profiles setup on her stand alone Windows 98 system. When Windows loads, it seems to be using a combination of both User Profiles. I don't know if it is important, but both users use the same password.

Is there any way of sorting this out? ... short of deleting Both profiles and re-creating them?

Where in the Registry can I view the existing profiles and modify them?

sounds like a corruption in the registry... you could run a registry clean up utility, or if worst comes to worst copy all the data under the profile (windows/profiles), delete the profiles, recreate them, and copy the info back
