Outlook express icon in the startup folder - so that it loads as you logon?
Or do you mean constantly check for your mail all day like Biff (Biff is the dog that barks at the mailman)? That's just a setting in Outlook Express (tools/general tab).

Notice that in your Program files menu under the start menu, there is a menu called "StartUp". Place any program that you would like to have load automatically into this folder and it will start on bootup. to get outlook to minimize automatically on startup, you must right click on the shortcut to outlook, select properties, and change the setting of the "Run:" box from "Normal Window" to "Minimized". It won't be in the systray, but it will be up and running, yet out of the way.
