I have a desktop computer with high speed internet. I also have a Dell laptop that is capable of connecting to the high speed internet wirelessly and has done so successfully. However, how can I get the ability to print from my laptop to the printer that is attached to my desktop pc? I would also like the ability to be able to see/access files that are on my desktop pc from my laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have to enable file/print sharing first. Then you can map the printer or the drive afterward.

The two PCs need to be able to see each other in My Network Places.

In Printers 7 Faxes, right-mouse-click on the printer, go Properties > Sharing and enable this.

From the laptop, Add Printer > network Printer etc. etc.
