Hi guys, I have a linksys WRT54G wireless router connected to a Westell 327W DSL moderm. i am using verizon DSL. I have two computers connected to the router, one run windows XP home and the other is XP medida 2005.
yesterday, i tried to access to the moderm settings. but when I entered "admin" for the default password, it didn't work. i am pretty sure that I have not changed the password of the router. i am thinking about doing a hard reset, but i am not sure if i can make the router work again after then.. So I really need some advice from you guys. thanks

Do the hard reset on the router. Then power everything off.

Straight-CAT5 cable the XP PC to the router.

Power the modem, wait 1 minute. Power the router, wait 1 minute. Boot the XP PC.

From IE, go 192.168.1.1 and away you go.

Tip for future, from the router's main page, you backup/restore all its settings (to save you having to reconfigure your encryption anand access settings etc.)

Linksys does NOT require a username...
