Desktop Properties (WXP-Home)

I changed my registry without backing it up and have come acrossed a problem. I can rightclick on my desktop, but when I choose properties I get a restriction notice. I know that this problem was a registry edit, can anyone help me fix it? Thanks for any and all help.

Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore and select a date or point immediately before your changes.
