Hi!

I am using Windows XP Pro with service pack 2. How can i have MORE than 3 concurrent users accessing my computer through Remote Desktop? Basically, how can i make it like Winconnect Server XP??

Right now i can ONLY have 3 conccurent sessions even though i have "Limit Number of Connections" set to 99999. I’ve searched the internet for DAYS maybe even a whole week and all the hacks I’ve seen can only give you three concurrent sessions. It seems like absolutely nobody has been able to get more than three besides the company that makes WinConnect Xp.

There are a few other people that would also like to know. We appreciate the help!!

Yeah i was refrencing WinConnect Server XP from Thinsoft, which supports 21 concurrent sessions. Its REALLY expensive though. It uses the same features found in windows but combines them into one consol. I think thier program is some kind of Remote Desktop hack because we can already hack RDP for 3 sessions....they must have figured out how to get more somehow....

What I get from the first link is they have come up with a software that runs on WinXP that provides a similar connectivity as if it was Windows Server 2003, hence the word Server in the program name. I couldn't get the page to load just now but I'd suppose it is quite a bit cheaper than Windows Server 2003 especially considering the cost of CALs/Client Access Licenses to add more user to the 5 or 10 built-in.

You are right. The WinConnect Server XP does run on windows xp. I don't know much about windows 2003 or CAL lisencing. I do know that Winconnect server xp has a disclamer that says they are not reponsible for the user violating any lisences...

Server 2003 only allows three remote sessions too. If you want more, you need to get into one of the Terminal Server versions of Windows.
