Not sure if this is the right place to post but;

I'm using SBS 2000, the password was changed and I can not find the note book with the password.

Is there any way to find or change it without knowing the password?

Thanks

Don't think so. That's the beauty of WinNT, Win2000, WinXP, Windows Server, can't get into them without a password if one has been set.

I have used the "Offline NT Password & Registry Editor" with sucess on Win2k Pro (SP3) machines, I don't know if it works on SBS. Due to the inherent danger of things going wrong when hacking the registry security key in this way, it should only be used as a last resort. It works from a floppy and is easy to use:

That's a good link to save for future use but after 3 weeks the situation no longer exists or the computer has been rebuilt or thrown out.
