poor graphics no sound after windows 98 second edition reinstall

can anyone help me please i am using a borrowed old computer from my friend till i save for new computer.It runs windows 98 second edition.Had virus recently and after reinstall of windows 98 second edition my graphics are awful and i have no sound.Found post on other forum from guy who said he knew how to fix this.Emailed him but no reply.Does anyone else no how to solve this please or do i have to buy a new graphics card not worth it as i am saving for new computer to run xp anyway dont have much money so itll take a few months.My graphics and sound were ace before reinstall.Must be a way to solve this.Please help

Have you installed the latest drivers for these devices?

Or did you install any drivers for the sound and video at all? They are not included in Win98/98SE, come on a separate CD or if an OEM/Brand computer will be on their disk.
