When I go on the start button, and click on my favorites websites it opens Windows Explorer. I want to acces the internet only with Internet Explorer. What do I do to impose that restriciton?

I'm not really sure that restriction is possible without some very heavy group policies. The problem is Windows Explorer and IE are very tightly integrated. You can get to the web from just about any address bar in Windows. So it may be possible to do what you're asking but I don't think there is any "quick fix" answer.

To see how easily you can access the Internet from a nonbrowser window check this out:

Open the calculator
click on help>help topics
The window that pops up, right click on its titlebar
Select jump to URL
type in any web address and watch it load in the "help window".

The above doesn't *have* to be calculator, it'll work with any help doc but I used calc as an example.
