I am trying to add a warning message that will appear above the username on the windows logon box in XP. I successfully managed to do so on my own PC by adding a "Logonprompt" string to the registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. I then exported this key to a DC and created a batch file to run as a computer startup script at the domain level for all users so that the warning message will appear on all PC's. Agin this works but what happens is that my username is now inputed into the username field. I manually edited the .reg file i originally exported so that the username will be blank but users are complaining about this (surprise surpirse!!!). Is there anyway i can add the warning message and save the username of the last person who logged on to each PC.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help!
Thanks!!
