Hi,

I have read numerous posts on the internet about Windows 2000 Server systems having problems with the lsass process, however, none really fit my experience. I am interested to know if anyone else has found a similar problem and solution. Basically I start the server and lsass comsumes about 70 megabytes of memory in the first few minutes. Memory is slowly comsumed for about 2-3 weeks. When it hits about 270 megabytes then suddenly the lsass process begins consuming nearly 100% of the cpu. Note, I am running serive pack 4, IIS 5.0 and am using SSL certificates. The only solution has been to reboot. Additionally, this server has run for 3-4 years with no problems, and this just surfaced in the past 3 months. If anyone has more information I would appreciate it, and especially there exists a remedy.

Thanks in advance.
