I have just networked to computers via a crossover cable, and all works OK.
I have:
Both computers Win XP Home.
Host has PC-cillin firewall
Client has McAfee firewall
Both have XP firewall disabled
Both have IE set to "never dial a connection"

Since setting up network, whenever Windows or the Virus programs want to access the interner, the host computer does so automatically without asking for a connection.
Before networking these programs would wait until a connection was made before trying to access the internet, which is what I want.

There must be a setting somewhere for this but I can't find it.

Can anyone tell me where or how?

Thanks

Bruce

What you need to do is to access your internet connection properties and change the option there that says that any computer can run this internet connection.
