printer sharing (WXP-Home)

I want to share a printer between two XP computers and have been told i can do it by simply connecting both computers to the one printer as opposed to using a network.
If this is so, what actual hardware (cables / hub) do i need pls?
The printer is USB and i want, if possible to do so without using network cards.

I'v used a parallel printer switch before I sure theirs probly something out their for usb as well it a printer switch that let you connect multiple computer to one printer and then you can just select witch computer needs to use it
