Okay, ever since I downloaded/uninstalled Mozilla Firefox, my IE browser has been really screwy. In my address bar, and in yours, usually there's an icon next to the web address. The icon would be similar to some sort of a page with a folded corner and the blue 'E' on it. Well, mine shows a page, folded corner, but also has a little box in it and shows 2 icons. Here's what it looks like:

Does anyone happen to know how to fix this? It's been bugging me for hours.

Another thing is that when firefox is fully uninstalled, does IE automatically revert itself back to the default browser?

Ive read on another forum that this program fixes it http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,9883,00.asp (http://digilander.libero.it/rareware/favorg.zip>http://digilander.libero.it/rareware/favorg.zip</a>

I am not so sure that the Fav.org program will fix it. (Perhaps it will?)

If the website uses favicons then it will display the favicon for that page (I use the program) but I think your problem is related to the default icon for HTM and HTML documents as shown in Windows Explorer's Tools, Folder Options, File types.

You should be able to re-associate the IE icon for HTM and HTML documents by selecting the file type, hitting the Change button and then the Change Icon button.
