Where it says Win2000 just read it as WinXP.

Win95/98/ME have to go on the Boot/System drive, defined by the BIOS as C:. Then the newest OS goes on last so as to create the boot menu and has to be on a separate partition/drive, could be any other drive letter.

Win95/95A can only use FAT16 2GB partitions regardless of what size drive the BIOS supports. Win95B/95C can use larger FAT32 partitions.

No, the Win95 CDs didn't boot. Go to www.bootdisk.com and get a file for your exact version of Win95 that will create a bootable floppy.

alright maybe i am not doing things right. when i start windows xp on my other HD it says that the file system is RAW, and i dont know what to do. fdisk says format it after the computer restarts but when i format it is goes back to the NTFS files system and i just dont know what to do. If the hard drive or partition is formatted NTFS and you want Win95 [or Win98/WinME] on it, you HAVE TO RUN FDISK FROM THE BOOT FLOPPY to delete the NTFS/Non-DOS partitions. Reboot and use FDISK to create partition/s, when using FORMAT from the floppy it will be as FAT16 [up to 2GB] or FAT32 [over 2GB].

What do i want the partitions to be? There are a lot of options: "Create Primary DOS Partition, Create Extended DOS Partition or Create Logical DOS Drive(s) in the Extended DOS Partition" ThANKS Again

Who knows what you want the partitions to be but you?

If it's the only drive the first [required] partition has to be a Primary DOS, can be any size up to the maximum of the drive. If you want additional partitions on the drive you have make the primary smaller and reboot and create an Extended followed by a Logical or more in the extended.

alright so let me make sure that i have it down step by step:

1. WIN95 boot disk
2. fdisk
3. partition drive
4. restart
5. Have WIN95 boot disk in and type in D:\Setup.exe

if that is it there is a problem. when i type D:\Setup.exe it says that its like an invalide command and that the drive is not there. (And yes the cd-drive is D)and in my boot order in my BIOS i have it Floppy, D drive, HD. i dunno what to do i am still confused. so im probably driving you crazy!! THANKS alot again!

EDIT:: In windows xp i can still see the extra hard dirve that i partitioned or so i think and it says the file system is RAW is that because WIN95 is not yet on it? or have i done something wrong???
