If you have your taskbar at the bottom, the system time appears at the right end. Is there any way to display the system date on the taskbar?

If you resize the Taskbar upward the date should show. There's also a freeware called Desktop Organizer (PTBSync) that shows it along with other neat features, such as a small onscreen calendar and time synchronization.

Thanks... I tried resizing my taskbar upwards, several stages in fact, and the date did not show.

After I expanded my taskbar upward, the bottom row of icons on my desktop display disappeared. How do I get them back?

At least a partial answer to my original question is that if you hover your cursor over the system time display on the right end of the taskbar the day and date display in a small window.

Hi
To have the date displayed in the system tray you would need to third party software.
Expanding the task bar in W2K will not display the date. Unfortunately this is only a feature of WXP.

tclock will do it for you. I used it in windows 2000 to display the date with the time. I'm using the lite version in windows XP so I can display it in the format I want. ex: Friday June 24 2005 03:31 PM.

Right click on an empty part of the taskbar and then remove the checkmark for lock the taskbar. Also check under toolbars to see if the one you lost is checked or not. If not put a checkmark beside it to get it back.
