Windows Explorer (WME)

I have windows 2000 and have a strange problem transferring files from desktop to folders and between folders in Windows Explorer. I copy, paste, drag but the file never moves. I get no error notice so I do not know how to search for help. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Windows 2000/Win2000 is quite a bit different from Windows Millenium Edition/WinME, could be the permissions settings are preventing you from making changes to files and folders.
