Go into the BIOS setup and disable wake on lan and also wake on ring, if it exists.

Sorry, did not go through the forums for some days.
OK , I have disabled the options you told, but even then the problem is the same.
Any other solution please!!

Ok, back into the BIOS. There is a setting for "state after a power failure" you want to set that to "off". There is also a setting to automatically start the PC at a preset time "RTC Alarm Resume" set that to "disabled". If these don't stop it from coming on then I am out of ideas.

Well either someone is turning it on, or you possibly have a bad power button on your case.

Has it activated while you are in front of the machine? It might be that the power at the mains is temporarally interupted. on my machine that happens if the mains supply 'blinks' & the PC boots up.I get the same result when I first turn the mains supply 'on' in the room where I keep the PC. My solution, that works for me, is to turn off the mains by flicking the switch on the outlet or just pull the plug- that simple but it works.

The only stupid question is the one never asked.....
comasoud,
each time I was reading your descriptions, and each time the_dude was suggesting something, I was saying to me .. "yep, that will fix it" and then you come back saying no.
This is just a guess, but I would give that a try, find out exactly what motherboard you have, if your running compaq or HP or Dell ... even easier ... go on your manufacturer web site, and flash your bios .... once bios is at the latest and greatest upgrade possible, make sure everything the_dude suggested is reapplyed (flashing bios will sometimes add back the default settings)
that should freaking fix it ... if not ... jess .. it could be a electricity issue ... if you have a power surge protector available try to connect your pc to it so that it gets perfect ammount of electricity.

Martin, the BIOS settings I mention in my second post will stop your PC from turning on when the power is temporarily interrupted, or you turn the mains off and then back on.

I have a older pc doing the same thing. However, I disable one of the optons from bios. It has to be be there. It is either either power option or advance option. You will have to look around at your pc
